Sarah Palin has a following in the US for a number of reasons. She brings beauty queen charm, disarming facial expressions, a folksy discourse and simple answers to complex problems. As you said, this simple message has appeal to many Americans who don’t want to believe change to the status quo is necessary. What scares me the most about Sarah Palin is not her conservative political or environmental views but the superficial level of her book and speeches. Simply stated, Palin brings superficial debate to complex problems primarily because she is superficial.
